Google’s New Local Search Tab for Mobile Search Great for Industrial Businesses

With the rising popularity of Smartphones among industrial businesses and professionals, Google’s new Local search tab offers some great features that not only benefit buyers but industrial sellers as well.
The idea behind the tool is it allows users to search locally from their desktop or laptop, star what’s important to them, and then have the selections automatically transferred to their Smartphone to make them readily accessible when their out on the road. The starred selections listed provide company name, address, phone and geolocator pinpointing the physical location on Google maps.
What this means to the buyer, who may be a person in the office doing the sourcing, is he can easily find what is needed and transfer the starred selections to the Smartphone of an employee out in the field who will then visit or call the locations for what he needs.
What this means to the seller is a great opportunity to connect with prospects locally. Make sure you are registered and listed in Google Local first and foremost. Then add a word or two on your relevant web pages or print materials that you can be found in Google Local for desktop and mobile search.
