Web videos are a great way to capture the attention of interested prospects who prefer to watch and listen than read a web page. Keeping these little ‘videomercials’ under 2 minutes is optimal. If you have a lot to say, break it up into smaller segments and present more videos.
Apart from keeping them short and sweet, your web videos have to be of good production value. They don’t need to have a lot of special effects or costly production value. You really just need a well-written script, well-rendered, easy-to-view moving or still images that support the script copy, motivating calls to action, and excellent sound quality of your voice over and/or music track. In other words, it has to be enjoyable to watch. Keep in mind too that everything you present on your website is a reflection of your professional image. So you want your videos to support you there too.
