Ok. So we’re bragging a bit here. But when you’ve developed something that helps your customers and they bother to make a big deal about it to you then it is definitely worth sharing it with others.

A couple of years ago Industrial Web Solutions introduced its first proprietary Content Management System specifically designed with functionality that we knew was needed by industrial manufacturers and other companies doing business in the industrial marketplace. Having designed and developed websites and custom applications for this marketplace since the early 1990’s we had a pretty good handle on the functionality that was needed for this group of client. As we were looking at content management systems already on the market we noticed one overriding commonality: the finished product never looked professional. No matter what kind of templates were offered, no matter what kind of functionality was included, a completed website using the application looked homemade and amateurish. Additionally, the administrative backend of the application was often so complicated to use that you generally required a customer service representative to be on the phone with you the entire time you were getting to know the system. Or you were required to pay an additional fee for basic training. Overall they were not generally very user-friendly or intuitive. So we knew exactly where we had to do better.
