Yet another industrial search engine…or is it?

Aren’t there enough industrial search engines and directories already? Aren’t they all the same, requiring you to somehow fit your company into a pre-existing category or classification, making you chase a mysterious algorithm so you get listed on the first page of the search results, or making you pay more money to get top listing? Yup. There are certainly enough of those around.
Check out the beta release of www.industrialwebsearch.com. Yes. We developed it. It’s the world’s first 100% user-driven industrial search engine with integrated .tel technology. And it never delivers irrelevant search results. How can that be, you ask? Well, it’s based on Web 2.0 ideas and uses content tagging instead of categories to organize listings. The search database is built by its users.
Member companies use tags to associate their listing information. Users type in words to search. The database collects both types of information and delivers suggestions to both buyers and sellers to facilitate their communications to ensure the best possible match. The idea is to keep industrial search simple – K.I.S.S., get it? – making it easiest for buyers to search, find and connect with sellers able to fulfill their requirements.
