Yolink Search Plug-In for Complex and Multi-Step Search
Posted By Industrial Web Solutions Marketing Team on August 6, 2010
Here’s a handy little search plug-in for those of us who are always trying to remember where we saw something that interests us. Currently being tested by Google Alerts and eBlogger, Yahoo, and Craigslist, Yolink , “the next-generation technology for complex or multi-step search,” finds specified keywords or longtail phrases that appear within the body copy content or links of a website or digital document found on the web, at a website, or on a desktop.
The Yolink search tool is particularly useful when you are trying to get to a section you’re interested in within a large document, such as a digital book, or for finding a link to an additional source that resides somewhere within a rather large website (like a particular listing on craigslist, for example).
The search plug-in can be installed on top of your existing search tool on your website to help your site visitors get to specific product information, for example, such as price lists, MSDS, or other information that may reside deeper within your site. It is also available for your desktop, if you are willing to pay $29.99 a year for it. It installs on top of your existing desktop search tool (such as Google Desktop Search or Windows Search) and provides you with the same deep search capabilities, helping you to find the document that contains the specific information you are after, even if you can’t remember the name of the document or file you may have stored it in.
If you are a developer interested in integrating the plug-in into your existing search tool, you can find out more at the Yolink Developer Community page.
